IHE Delft WASH Scholarships

For over 15 years, Rotary has funded nearly 200 WASH scholars at IHE Delft University in the Netherlands. These young people are making a difference across the world. Except that, few of these scholars are from Asia and none from the South Pacific. Yet we know that the South Pacific Islands have a great need for increased WASH capacity.

We are grateful to our Rotary IHE Delft colleagues, especially Bas Hendricksen, who helped guide our nascent efforts in getting this scholarship program at IWC started.

In 2025, the eClub of WASH and an eClub member donated a combined US$7,000 toward an IHE Delft Rotary scholar global grant. That ongoing pledge has now been transferred to the Rotary South Pacific WASH Scholarship programs.
